Daisy says that she is good at looking in mirrors and not seeing herself. Try it, she says to me. I look in the mirror and I tell her that it’s a hard game. It’s not a game, says Daisy. I try to look through myself in the mirror but Daisy says that’s not how you do it. What you have to do, she says, is remember how chaotic you feel. Now look in the mirror and anything ordered, complete, entire or in one place cannot be you. That’s how I feel, she says. I do not belong in there! I am not an image.
